You don’t have to be a bohemian hippy or a woman to enjoy the benefits of yoga. Yoga was designed for men, by men and has evolved to suit the needs of the western world.

For a sense of self…

As we go through life, we can find ourselves overloaded: work, job hunting, demands from family and friends, sickness, stress or other worries. Often it seems that there are not enough hours in the day. Happily, we are given a few gifts to help us cope.

Whether burdens are caused by outside influences or internal ones, we need to overcome them to find a sense of self – to tap into self-reliance and find a sense of peace, learn to live in the present moment.

When we take, even just a little time to practise our yoga postures, control our breathing and quieten our minds with meditation, we learn to understand ourselves – and recognise our worth as an individual in this world.

Yoga is perfect for:

• enhancing health and wellbeing
• improving your posture
• increasing focus and concentration
• enabling relaxation and sleep
• overcoming stress
• coping with pregnancy
• improving breathing and lung capacity
• increasing strength, stamina and flexibility
• achieving a sense of balance
• creating energy
• improving body tone and shape
• relieving backache, muscle and joint pain

…for everyone
Whoever you are, whatever your lifestyle, whatever your fitness level, yoga can help you look better, feel better and operate more efficiently. It doesn’t matter what age, sex, body shape or personality you are.

The beauty of yoga is that you can do it at your own pace and at a level that suits you. I can help determine what level is right for you – and assess how you can best progress.

During the day I offer one-to-one private lessons where I devise a programme to suit your needs. I also host two friendly intermediate evening classes. Beginners are welcome to join us too. Please click here to find out about the Tuesday morning class in Tenterden.
